Resilient Wilco provides training, consultation, and trauma-informed support to local organizations working to reduce the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and build a more resilient future for our communities.
Local Volunteer Trainers are ready to offer ground breaking insights and training at NO-COST to local communities. This is part of the national curriculum developed by ACE Interface and is sponsored by local Williamson County organizations. Learn about the latest in brain research and the implications of stress on our children's development.
The Impact of ACEs and Toxic Stress:
ACEs are traumatic experiences from abuse, neglect, and witnessing several areas of household dysfunction. Toxic Stress is extreme, frequent, or extended activation of the body's stress response without supportive relationships. Did you know that toxic stress can have damaging effects on learning, behavior, and health across the lifespan? We can do more to support our community during adverse situations.
